Stephen Morris (b. October 28, 1957) and Gillian Gilbert (b. January 27, 1961) are half of the acclaimed New Order, Morris having been the drummer in the group's previous incarnation as Joy Division, with Gillian, formerly of Manchester group The Inadequates, joining the group in 1981. The duo's debut album was much delayed by the collapse of Factory Records in 1992. Their TV soundtrack work includes "America's Most Wanted", "Making Out" and "Common As Muck". Still based in Stephen's home town of Macclesfield (Cheshire, UK), they are married and have two daughters.
Gillian Gilbert and Stephen Morris ( respectively, the keyboardist/guitarist and percussionist/programmer for New Order ) released their first full-length album, The Other Two and You, in 1994. Before its release, they had recorded the hit single "Tasty Fish" in 1991 and worked on various film and television scores, including America's Most Wanted. Superhighways followed in 1999.
