Rodeo Jones founder members were Graham Plato, Ben Copland, and Michelle Jones.
Their debut single Desire, produced by ex ‘Fashion’ member, Mullighan, and engineered by future Raw Stylus founder member Ron Aslan, was an underground hit, appearing in the New york Club chart top 10.
The follow up , a reworking of Desire, called Desire 2 featuring new vocalist Jayne Tretton, quickly caught the attention of London’s cool pirate stations, who alerted A&M records to the band.
Managed by Ben Copland and Graham Plato, a deal was signed, leading the singles ’ Get Wise’ ‘Natural World’ ” Shades of Summer’ and Ain’t no sunshine’.
Get wise featured mixes by the band and co Producer Nigel Lowis, as well as remixes by Steve Silk Hurley, E Smooth, and Phil Kelsey.
Shades of summer featured mixes by C J Mackintosh, and Ex Electribe 101 members Groove Corporation.
Natural world featured mixes by producer John wadell, and Groove Corporation.
Ain’t no Sunshine was produced by the band and Eternal/ Dina Caroll producer NIgel Lowis, who also worked on the original version of first A&M single . ‘Get wise’.
